Berean Baptist Church is a fundamental Baptist church in Port Charlotte, Florida that serves every individual that is interested in studying the Word of God. Through our Bible study sessions, prayer meetings, and worship services, we strengthen our faith in Christ. We are a fundamental, independent King James Bible-believing Baptist church that still believes in conservative, traditional evangelistic preaching of the Word. Our congregation studies the Bible, prays together, fellowships together, and worships together. We sing the old hymns of faith with spirit and enthusiasm. We believe in sharing the gospel to everyone in our community.

“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto BEREA: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” (Acts 17:10-11)

What Our Baptist Church Believes In

Berean Baptist Church is a fundamental, independent Baptist church. We believe that the King James Bible is the true word of God. It is the only authorized version of God’s word.

We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin Mary.

Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

That Jesus died for our sins on the cross, 1 Peter 3:18 “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:”

On the third day Jesus rose again, John 20:11-18

11 But Mary stood without at the sepulcher weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulcher,\

12 And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

15 Jesus saith unto her, “Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou?” She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

16 Jesus saith unto her, “Mary.” She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

17 Jesus saith unto her, “Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.”

18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
